[Labor Accident Case] Poisoning due to fuel depletion of the ventilation system

Introducing a case of poisoning due to fuel depletion of the ventilation system during waterproof painting inside the water distribution tank.

Two workers used a mixture of epoxy resin and hardener as a topcoat for waterproofing the inner walls of the water distribution tank. During the work, they operated a ventilation system and wore organic solvent respirators. However, the generator used to operate the ventilation system stopped blowing air due to fuel consumption, and the absorption canisters of the respirators had exceeded their effective duration, leading to the incident. The next day, two workers were found collapsed inside the tank by their colleagues. After being rescued, both regained consciousness but were diagnosed with organic solvent poisoning and required hospitalization for treatment.
